Hard to Get (The Broken Fork)

I think you're playing hard to get

In my heart I can't get over you yet

I think you wonder how it could be

I always wonder just how things should be

I think you're defenses are in use

I know from all this loveless abuse

I think you sometimes work and short it out

I always try to put an end to your doubt

Even with my faults and mistakes

I love you more and more each day

To let our past get in the way

What else can I say

Even with all these things between us

I'm still someone you can trust

As I travel beyond this fork in the road

I'm not sure which way I was told
