Knowing You

By Bruce Clifford

I wish we could see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I wish we could believe we weren’t trapped in a funnel.

If I could hold you once in my arms.

If I could show you I could do you no harm.

This life is so empty without you near.

I’m not blind to this world.

I’m so in love with you girl.

I always wish you could see.

You are my everything.

I want to believe that the best times are ahead of us.

I want to be free from this ocean that sits between the two of us.

If I could look straight into your eyes.

I know there would be no surprise.

This life is so empty without you near.

I’m not lost out at sea.

I’m not sure how things are supposed to be.

I’ve been so in love with you girl.

The most beautiful girl in the world.

This life is so empty without you near.

Losing my grip on believing is my darkest fear.

Life is so empty without you near.

As I always say to you, I wish you were here or I wish I was there.
